Description

This is a terrestrial, perennial species, widely distributed in Africa and locally also in Madagascar. Most populations can be found between 1200-2700m, with exceptions.

Gridded estimate at roughly 10 to 25 km. In mountainous terrain the actual site may differ, and the diagram says nothing about soil moisture conditions.

Habitat

The species grows on very wet, nutrient-poor sand and peat soils.

Cultivation

Seems to need a lot of light to blossom, I haven't succeeded yet though. Easy to propagate through leaves and traps.
